Most recent notice to RaZors participants (5/19/20): "We’re still on hold competitively, but I’m open to designing some training sessions for theses players. This would occur in limited groups and would work toward developing our 7v7 rosters and brand for this year and next. I’m not going to rule out a competitive event for this year, but I think we can still advance this program and your player’s skills before the season. If not, we’ll issue refunds/credits and try again next spring. We had such a great response to this program and I’m really excited about what it can become."  Coach Blum

NOTICE:

This below info on this page is pre-COVID. It does indicate how the RaZors program is formatted, but the hard details and dates or no longer relevant. Read our latest statement on that above and contact us directly if you're interested in learning the latest about the RaZors teams.

___________________________________________________________

Starting in 2020, RedZone is launching 7-on-7 club teams for offseason practice and competition. Known as the RaZors, these teams will offer opportunities for players to sharpen their pass game skills in preparation for the coming fall season. Although a competitive schedule will be played, player development is the primary focus of the RaZors program.

There are 2 sessions for the RaZors. Players may choose to participate in spring only, summer only, or both spring & summer. Players may sign up for the spring session and add the summer session at a later date.

See practice & competition schedules below.

There are 5 spots left on the 6th-7th grade team as of 3/12 at 2pm.
Spots for the 4th-5th grade Spring Session  are FULL.

If you want to onquire about joining the 6-7 team or get on a waiting list for the 4-5 team,
contact us at the email or pone below.

We are not accepting Summer Session registrations until a later date, and only if spots are open.

Below is general info about this program. Keep in mind, this is the first year, so there are still some details being nailed down. We'll continue to update here.

  • RedZone Director, Tyler Blum will head coach the teams. There may be other RedZone staff or parent coaches that help, but positions & playing time decisions will be made by an objective, non-parent party.
  • These team will not be 'select' or require tryouts. Those that register first will be on the team.
  • All players/teams will practice together. Each league/tournament has different age divisions, so we'll split into squads a necessary for competition, but we will operate as one team.
  • Practice & competition attendance is expected at a high percentage. We understand there will be some conflicts, vacations, and other things to deal with, but habitually missing RaZors events will not be accepted. Playing time will largely be dictated by practice attendance & practice performance. Any expected absences should be reported to Coach Blum or marked as such via the TeamSnap app. Bonus and makeup practice opportunities may be offered at times.
  • Games & tournaments will occur on weekends. We're not anticipating every weekend will be all-day or all-weekend events; some will just be a single game. We're not looking to incur major travel or hotel expenses.

Schedule

MAY 24 - JUNE 22    OFF     (optional practices may be held for continuing players and summer newcomers)

Summer session practice schedule is still largely TBD. We're targeting weekday AM practices. There may also be weekly games added (similar to MYFA passing league) or at least a couple of pre-tournament scrimmages.
